Our Story
Who is The FTSQ Gallery?
FTSQ stands for F*** The Status Quo.
We aren’t anarchists, we’re maverick, non-conformists and it’s our belief that the business of fine art currently functions in an outdated and uninspiring way. We want to shake s*** up and do things differently.
We believe in …
The storytelling of art.
Selling to those that ‘get’ that artists are creating legacy…their own and our customer’s.
Our artists being as loved by the world as their art is.
Art investment…if it’s buying what you love and investing in artists that are creating legacy.
True legacy investment because it’s built on a foundation of passion and a true love of art. It stands the test of time and is passed down through multiple generations
Celebrating non-conformity and supporting the diversity and uniqueness of our artists.
Helping artists live their legacy by supporting their creativity, inspiration and ability to create a sustainable life from their art.
So, if you are up for it, let’s FTSQ the hell out of the art world together.
Team of one…for now!
The Boss Lady:
Lena Robinson is the founder and owner of The FTSQ Gallery, with a larger than life character. She has a love of art and artist that began when she was little reading her Dad’s art history books. Spending hours as a pre-teen reading about the lives and creations of the great masters.
It’s partly why she has an intense dislike of the status quo and an unrivalled desire to help, guide and support those that are unconventional, different and unorthodox.
With a special place in her heart for all of the non-conformists out there, Lena intends to run her art gallery in line with her beliefs. F***ing with the Status Quo when it suits her and caring for those that are part of the FTSQ Gallery Community.
We love the energy and vibe of street art. This image was taken in 2017 in Leake Street, near Waterloo in London. We love visiting this place. It is alive and ever changing. Few urban places are filled with such raw inspiration and talent.
